2021.12.05 01:58 Juicysmollaaay ETH Query

New to crypto and realizing there is no major difference in '1 year' charts between all ETH coins / tokens and BTC. The charts are similar for all of them I looked at (1 big jump, Spring '21, followed by 2 medium humps) if you're buying an ETH token there is no "if you believe in the project;" there's only "if you believe in BTC"... Yes I get market fluctuations will align movement over time, but I am watching 1 Min candles move on BTC and MATIC with precision mirror image. I'm assuming it's bots, but my main question is if ETH is really it's own project that has the possibility to survive if BTC was deemed useless.

Our 10 month old pibble is a handful. We love her so so much and want to give her everything she needs. But her energy needs have increased as she’s gotten older and our time to train and spend with her is decreasing because of work.
Have any of you raised your pibbles from puppies? When did you notice a change in energy levels? We’re trying to figure out if this is something we can stick out or if we should look for a family that can give her what she needs.

2021.12.05 01:58 New-Ladder-4379 Let's Talk #2 | Why Ohma Should've Stayed Dead..

Let's Talk #2 | Why Ohma Should've Stayed Dead.. What's up my nakamas, Its PropheT back at it again with another Let's Talk! It's been months since my first one and that was addressing Fei's fight with Waka. Now that the Purgatory Tournament is officially finished, I had a lot of time on my hands to think about the pitfalls of this arc and what could've been avoided. But then after much deliberation, I realized that the Purgatory arc wasn't really the issue. Once that happened I wanted to put off my thoughts on this arc for another time. There's a much bigger problem with the current series that I feel will go on to heavily impact the future of Omega...and it started 87 chapters ago..
This one scene was the beginning of the end
The return of Tokita Ohma presented more problems for Omega than it did to elevate it to new heights. I'm sure most in the sub could agree that Ohma's return significantly damaged the ending of KA and the level of impact his death had on his story's conclusion. While I concur with this sentiment, I feel like his inclusion drastically decreased the importance of the initial characters we've been following even more so. I'm speaking of none other than-
Ryuki & Koga
What I'm about to say might offend (a lot) some of you by saying this, but I firmly believe that Ryuki is a better written character than Ohma and that Koga has far more potential to develop as a person than Ohma. Now, before you get your AK-47s and launch your nukes at me, hear me out. Here's a question, what exactly does Ohma bring to the table story wise at this point in time? His storyline and all the development he needed to go through was finished and was bookended by his death. Ohma died being remembered as one of the greatest martial artist on earth, immortalizing his name in the Kengan Association for years to come. His path as a fighter also helped to make Kazzy into a stronger person too, which was something that was carried into Omega. But with that being said, he served his purpose well in the plot, and he exited the story on his own terms; by giving his best and making his master proud beyond the grave. Of course, there were problems with Ohma such as his character aligning with several manga cliches like having a super secret op martial art, amnesia, a master that died before the story's start, etc. But I will come back to this later on into the analysis, first I must cover why I feel Ryuki & Koga are better character's than Ohma and how their plotential is being tarnished by his mere presence. To begin, we will start with Ryuki.
Even he's angry with his reduced role
It was like Sandro patched Ohma, nerfed him up a bit, and gave us Ryuki as a result. I say this because Ryuki lacks a vast majority of the issues present with Ohma, since he acts as this story's surrogate of him. To give an example, his martial art, The Goah Style, feels like it perfectly fits with the deadly environment of the Inside. Logically speaking, it's less likely for you to get into full on grappling matches with someone in such a hellscape, you're more likely to try to get into the mix and get out the fight quick as humanly possible. That is exactly what the Gaoh style is, the cunning of the style makes it out to be the perfect survival method for someone living there. This is opposed to the Niko style, which imho feels like a style created in a super secret laboratory somewhere that combines the best aspects of all martial arts into one. From a storytelling perspective, it comes off as a little bit too versatile which can create issues down the line (remember this for later). The beauty of the Goah style that people miss is in its limitations; it basically forces Ryuki to improve and forces Sandro to write more creative applications of it in combat. But martial arts aside, Ryuki has SO MUCH TO OFFER in terms of story too!
Goah Ryuki thus far has been presented as a mysterious character that appears like Ohma. As of this post, we still know absolutely nothing about him other than the fact his life was implied to have contained tons of abuse & discomfort. From him stating his grandfather "beat him" during his training, to living his whole life up until now in the Inside, it becomes abundantly clear in how he acts towards people. Ryuki basically trust no one on the Outside and has to come to grips with the fact he doesn't have to live a "Kill or Be Killed" lifestyle anymore which I find extremely intriguing. Not only that, Ryuki has connections with the grander plot of Kengan Omega (with his epithet literally being The Omega, given to him by Naidan) that thrust him into the main character position. Unlike Ohma who was relatively straightforward in his goals, Ryuki is in a position where he doesn't know what he wants out of life. This is interesting since all his life he was taught to only kill worms, now he's learning that there's a bigger world outside of what Mukaku taught him, a bigger world outside the Inside, a place where he no longer has to live as an assassin. He's essentially Ohma but with more possibilities for realistic growth and maturation as a character.
The person who helped him grow throughout early Omega is one people don't give a lot of credit, and I hope what I'm about to say enlightens you.
Our personal favorite whipping boy
Koga has been relentlessly memed upon by the community for months now. Hell even I clowned on him 💀. But, once I thought about things I realized how much work was put into early Koga that's now being wasted. Our initial introduction to Koga's character shows us a spiteful asshole who wants to do anything to get power & to grow stronger. His motivation is basic shonen stuff at first glance, but then I remembered looking back through chapter 5...
Man's had it rough, can you blame him for acting this way?
As we can see here, Koga himself also had a troubling life, not to the extent of Ryuki, but still pretty messed up. Neither parent was in the picture for him, his grandfather didn't want him either, and in general he felt unsatisfied with his life. In the following page, Koga internally says that the reason he chases after power was because of the fact he hated "his powerless self". To me that signifies that Koga wants to be a stronger individual because of the fact he couldn't change the circumstances in his early life. The 2nd panel to the top right also implies that Koga didn't have many close friends growing up and possibly (this could be a stretch) was bullied during his youth. In the process of chasing power, he forsook any blessings that life could've thrown his way and he continued to spiral downward into his own pride. He also even says in the chapter that he doesn't care about morality, which was proven untrue later on in the narrative. Deep down he feels ashamed that he embarrassed his Uncle Joji for getting expelled from the Rokushin Kaikan. He felt sick to his stomach upon watching Ryuki killing the Worm agent. It shows that for all his tough talk he's filled with a bunch of hot air. This is why I think his character arc of finding strength through humility is the perfect road for him to go down for him overall. Another plus for Koga is that he doesn't have any flashy martial arts, and is just grinding to get stronger through more conventional styles like Karate and MMA which makes his character more down to earth when compared to other cast members.
This also ties back into Ryuki and Koga's relationship. In the early chapters their personalities bounced off each other well and slowly they developed a friendly rivalry of sorts where they got inspired by one another to become better versions of themselves. Koga taught Ryuki about modern life, and Ryuki taught Koga to make his way of fighting more efficient. While we don't know too much about Koga's childhood, I really wished in the beginning that Sandro would dive deeper into his reasons for fighting, as I assumed he was going to remain the main character. With that setup we can easily see that both characters have great potential for development; Ryuki with learning to form his own destiny in life beyond the bloodshed, and Koga learning he is more than his past and that through humility he will become inconceivable. He could've learned to appreciate the small things in life from Ryuki, and Ryuki could've learned how to be a better human being from Koga. But then Ohma came back and now here's where the rant begins >:(
Not as angry as me Ohma, not as angry as I
Once Ohma returned, everything changed. Due to his prominent status from the previous story, he simultaneously won the heart of fans and stole the MC positions right from under those two. But here's the teensy tiny problem with that.. HE HAS NO MORE DEVELOPMENT LEFT FOR HIS CHARACTER! Just like I addressed earlier on, he already fulfilled his narrative purpose back in Ashura and no character arc that can change him further. Any story you can think of for him has already been taken by other characters. Ohma learning to live in a normal society by living with the Kure? Already the premise of Ryuki's story. Ohma fighting against the Tiger Niko for what he's done to him? Already a plotline for Kanoh (who I might add has FAR more reason to be angry with Niko than Ohma). Ohma coming to grips with being the Worm's "Tiger Vessel" project- HE TOOK THAT FROM FEI, IT WAS LITERALLY HANDED TO HIM! At this point, he's detracting from other characters and making them less important due to his presence. Instead of Koga being inspired to become a better fighter from Ryuki, mans has become Ohma's biggest fangirl under Karla with no focus being given to him. Koga didn't even have a reaction to Raian splitting Alan despite being one of the most moral characters on the Kengan team ffs! As for Ryuki...wait a sec where is he? Oh right he hasn't been seen on screen for THIRTY FOUR CHAPTERS AND COUNTING when he is among one of the most integral characters to the story of Omega. This is compounded by the fact most people wanted to see what Ohma would do in this tournament more than the main characters we've been following for 50 chapters. Speaking of which..
Remember the martial arts topic from before? Well Ohma got worse in this regard. He has unlocked a level of Foresight, has fully mastered the Niko Style, and has mastered the Kure Clan techniques on top of that. The problems that the Niko style originally had are now exacerbated by the fact he could come up with completely new techniques like Bone Consumption which can invalidate any damage done by grapples. In short, Ohma is just freaking busted and hardly anybody can pose a legitimate challenge to him anymore at this point in the story. I only see this getting worse the more we move forward. To move passed the martial art discussion, Ohma has transitioned into being a bit of a gary stu at this point. He's learning moves that should take him years to learn when he's supposed to be in recovery. He lost all the dickish traits that made him interesting, has become a plank in terms of personality, yet everyone loves & takes no issue with him. It's frustrating to see when he's given undeserved power ups while leaving our original protagonist in the dust. This should be their story, not his. Their epithets (Kengan relating to Koga's fist eye, and Omega for Ryuki and his worm plot) are on the front cover, not Ohma's. This tournament should've been used to grow Ryuki and Koga, not to hype up Ohma.
Ok...rant over. I don't want to keep you guys here for much longer so I'll just get into my closing thoughts. Ohma being back like this ruins his legacy, and the accomplishments he made in Ashura. It ruins Kazzy's potential development, since in Omega it's been implied that he doesn't want the same thing that happened to Ohma to happen to either Koga and Ryuki, with him being back why should he care what happens to them now? Ohma being here also lessens the stakes of future arcs since they can rely on his busted abilities to get them through problems. But, not all hope is lost as a result of this decision. If Sandro could orient his focus back on Koga and Ryuki and KEEP THEM IN THE LIMELIGHT moving forward this can be salvaged. But if he continues to focus on Ghost from Yesterday's tale, then this new story will just become more muddy and messy moving forward. Trust me when I say, it's not going to be good for Omega's quality if Ohma stays front line & center whatsoever. But even then, I fear that the damage has already been done. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below, until then, these were just my thoughts, God bless.

2021.12.05 01:58 Sirdordanpringle Dragons or Wyverns

With the release of Century: Age of Ashes, and how much Fruit's been playing it, and the whole misconception about dragons versus wyverns I've been seeing, as a Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast, I thought I'd clarify the two for yall.
A Wyvern is technically typed as a dragon-entitiy, given its scales, wings, and overall almost exact dragon appearance. The differences include that wyverns cannot breath fire, have only two legs, are far smaller, and are far less intelligent than their larger cousins, being more hungry beast than anything else. The biggest defining feature of a Wyvern is its extremely dangerous poison stinger at the end of its tail.
True Dragons are sentient, greedy, have four legs, and, in contrast to the Wyvern which can only grow up to about ~15 feet long, the largest type of true dragon can grow to be about 120 feet in length. (Granted they'd have to live around 800 years to do so, but there you have it) also they breath fire.
So are the dragons in Century: Age of Ashes actually wyverns? Welll despite the two legs, the are closer to the definition of dragon then that of a Wyvern, but to be fair, the devs probably didn't use the DnD lore to make their game, either, so that determination is still a bit up for debate.
