I am planning a trip to the US and I will rent an Airbnb close to GATECH. I was wondering if I am allowed to enter the university, visit the library and study in the reading room as a GATECH online student.

2021.10.26 02:11 jetsetjetjettt My “straight crush” keeps appearing. Kinda stalkerish

Or really coincidental. We now work and live in the same building. The weirdest encounter is him telling me I have a package at the lobby of our office building.. I didn’t even know his name and never told him mine. I just remember finding that incredibly creepy.
On Friday he moved into my apartment building. And immediately spots left then comes walking to me with that amazing (super cute) grin. What the fuckity fuck.

2021.10.26 02:11 old_story5500 Hero

You had to make me me a real “Biblical hero”, didn’t You? Oh, if only that meant what I used to think it meant... God made Biblical heroes, well, ‘heroes’ as ‘fail safes’ against feeling like a terrible person, I think, by making them neither directly nor subversively inspiring, but rather so uninspiring that anything they do gives you a greater sense of confidence. The only thing I can really pride myself on is that anything I do would give anyone else the assurance that they could do the same.

2021.10.26 02:11 ComradeFrunze [EVENT] Le maréchal rouge: An overview of France

[EVENT] Le maréchal rouge: An overview of France
Although Maurice Thorez, General Secretary of the PROF and former Prime Minister had returned to France following his stint of recovery in the Soviet Union, the true power was no longer in the hands of Thorez, but in the Red Marshal, Henri Rol-Tanguy.
If Maurice Thorez is France’s Lenin, then Henri Rol-Tanguy is France’s Stalin.
Maurice Thorez has stayed on continuously as General Secretary of the PROF, but has taken on more of a backseat due to his fragile health, often simply advising the party on certain issues and taking tours to meet with workers and peasants. Meanwhile, the ever-diligent Rol-Tanguy has been hard at work building the country; with some Party papers even stating that Rol-Tanguy himself has been personally overseeing the national delimitation effort of France, with Rol-Tanguy putting in the effort to learn the Breton language of his homeland. Even adopting the name “Herri Rol-Tangi” as the Breton form of his name. Indeed, Rol-Tanguy has been praised by the “nationalist intelligentsia” of the various nations. Occitan writer Robèrt Lafont described him as “one of the greatest figures of France of the 20th century so far.”
Northern France, the homeland of the French language itself, has seen its own transformation in the past few years following the national line. Those of the French language have been classified under the name “Francs”, or Franks; with the land itself being called “Terre des Francs,” “Francie,” or “Languedoil.” Owing to the need of a separate national flag separate to the Tricolor of France, a new design has been created that will begin flying on government buildings in the region alongside the Tricolor and regional flags. [https://i.imgur.com/8ihFF5H.png](The flag of the Frank nation). The design incorporates both the traditional French white cross, the Fleur-De-Lis of France Moderne and the Republican colors. The PROF, UDT, and MRP have begun grooming a new generation of nationalistes francs, one loyal to both their Frank nation and their Republic of France.
Indeed, this model has been seen across France as a whole. The raising up of local nationalists, to be taught loyalty to their language that had been erased by the corrupt bourgeois Republic, and ultimate loyalty to the new People’s Republic, a Republican France without the bourgeois degeneration and that cared for the little man, cared for the common man of “old France.”
Meanwhile in Paris, the Red Marshal has eclipsed the popularity of the old General De Gaulle, although the Democratic Union of Labour and their Social Gaullists still praise the General as a “a Frank-Breton hero and a true nationalist”, despite his many faults. Portraits of Joseph Stalin, Maurice Thorez, and Henri Rol-Tanguy line the streets of Paris, with the OAS scoffing and slurring Paris as “Paris des Cocos”, or “Paris of the Commies.”
The Red Marshal has also been compared to Maximilien Robespierre, both by his allies and enemies. To the friends of the new Republic, Rol-Tanguy is The Incorruptible, much like Robespierre. He seems to have accepted the comparisons, attending a consecration of a new statue of Robespierre on 28 July 1956, where the crowd chanted, “Vive le nouveau Robespierre ! Vive Rol-Tanguy !
Since 1946, and especially since the beginning of the 1950s, a small trickle of emigres have made their way to countries like Belgium, Switzerland, and America. Figures such as René Pleven and René Coty have emigrated to the United States. The population of White Russian emigres that have existed in France since the Russian Civil War have similarly been keen to leave, with most heading to America to join the similarly large population of Russian emigres in the country.
In Algeria, Emmanuel d'Astier de La Vigerie, head of the Special Autonomous Region of Algeria, has been hard at work since 1955 with his “de La Vigerie Plan”, where certain rural land is redistributed to be worked by Arab peasants to increase productivity, increased industrialization and electrification, and encouraging Arab civil servants, all while continuing trying to balance the rights of the Franks in Algeria.
Although most of the Arabs of Algeria are satisfied with their position in France and with the PROF regime, there are still some against it. Recently there has been a struggle with the rise of a new current, calling themselves Algerianists, with the Anti-France and Anti-Arab Nationalist group Flamme de la Nation Algérienne fighting with members of the Algerian People’s Party and Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party in the streets of Algeria’s cities. Both the PPA and Ba’ath Party have been found defending Algeria’s union with France, satisfied with the Republic’s guarantee Proclaiming the existence of an Algerian nation separate from the Arab one, they are anti-communist and seek to end Algeria’s union with France, while proclaiming the PPA and Ba’ath Party to both be “Arab-French traitors to the Algerian nation.”

2021.10.26 02:11 NerdyGeekyDude Is there a Reddit for asking broad science-based questions?

Hello everyone. So I'm the type of person who is always trying to understand how the world works. I randomly have questions about gravity, space travel, natural selection, how the brain works... etc. So I had one question about survival of the fittest I really wanted to ask today. I went searching for subs about science and just can't really find an appropriate place to ask my question. The science sub is about posting scientific articles and news and papers... There's a sub for teaching science, but it's actually for science teachers to get together and discuss teaching methods and stuff.
My question is, is there a large, active sub where I can ask a broad range of science-related questions? Or, do I have to find niche subs for every question I have? Or do I just need to come here to AskReddit and see if anyone who specializes in these fields happens to stumble across my questions? (I'm sorry if I'm using "sub" incorrectly.)
